Please Lord, Take Me Back…
I started DJing in ’97.. Good tunes back then!
This is amazing! I was 12-13 in 1997. Loved the music/movies of the 90s. The Backstreet Boys were particularly important to me though.
UNBREAK MY HEART!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA. YES!!!
Crazy mash of things I remember fondly and things I was not allowed to watch.
And now I’m feeling a little guilty for the times I sneakily tuned in to MTV even though I wasn’t supposed to. Oops.
Some great tunes, but I was holed up in a chemical engineering lab preparing to graduate and get married so I hardly watched any TV or movies.
I was 11. I caught almost all the references till the last couple minutes, then I was confused. But most of it brought back so many memories!
TAMAGOTCHI!! I snuck into the teacher’s lounge in elementary school to call my mom (from their phone, not a cell!) to ask her to feed mine because I accidentally left it home…
Now I remember why I switched over to country music in the 90’s. ugh!
I was 10 in 97, and except for a few of the video game references I got everything. The end bit from Starship troopers was class. I love how terrible of a movie that was, and I love how I still watch it any time I see it on TV.
That, was amazing.
Except for the teletubbies part, those things still freak me out.
I was 18… And i just remembered all the stupid stuff I used to do (and the way I danced to some songs) OH DEAR GOD. Brought back good and really bad memories.
That was a big year for me. Graduated from HS and started following Jesus.
I graduated in 1997 and I Believe I Can Fly was our graduation song.

Good stuff! Enjoyed it 🙂
oh man 9th grade was a good year.
I was 12-13 as well. I loved the music during this time. I remember my baby brother who was 2-3 (maybe) had a Purple Teletubby. I remember the rumor that the Purple teletubby was gay. We kind of laugh at it now.
LOVE THIS! I was a freshman going into my sophmore year of high school in 1997… Oh the memories:)
23, living in my future daughter’s dad’s parent’s basement with him, answering phones at a fire station and going to ground school for my pilot’s license. Thanks Carlos! For taking me back 🙂
WOW! The year I got married. Awesome stuff! 😀
Are you in cahoots with Apple? Thanks to you I just spent $100 in the iTunes store!
I remember going to see 5th Element when I was at a Willow Creek Conference.
Puff Daddy – “I’ll be missing you” = my go to karaoke song. 🙂
Thanks for the time warp. I think I had a grin on my face most of the video. Simpler times!
Very nice! In ’97 I started my first full-time ministry job. Lot’s of great memories. (Although the Macarena was definitely 1996!)
Holy Crap. I forgot about 90% of this stuff. Ah the memories…
