The Year Of Adventure

Last April I released my first book.  Moment Maker.
As an author, when you finish a book, and as you continue to live out the message of that book, you wish you could add to it.
I guess that is what this space is for.
So as I thought long and hard about what the next aspect for me as a moment maker would be…
I began studying you guys.
I began studying the other guys.
The ones who travel the world on instagram.
The ones who climb the mountains on vimeo.
The ones who surf the big waves on youtube.
And I realized something.
When you are working at Starbucks at age 20 trying to pay off your student loans…
When you are working 70 hours a week at age 30 trying to get your startup running…
When you are trying to feed you family and pay the bills at age 40…
When you are trying to save as much money for retirement at age 50…
When your bones start to ache a little more than normal at age 60…
And so on…
You lose the ability to even imagine adventure is possible.
Well guess what?
It IS.

My wife and I create an Adventure Plan every year.
Life Plans are all the rage, but my life could end tomorrow.
So I wanna make sure my life is an adventure.
And by my own definition… in order for something to be an adventure it must include these things…
Risk…Rescue…Reward…
And then I pour these adventures into 3 buckets.
More later on these buckets…
I’ll dive deeper into these things in the coming weeks around here but for now that should give you a glimpse of what I consider an adventure.

I’m going to show you guys that you don’t have to fly to the corner of the world to become an adventurer. An ultimate #MomentMaker
You can become one RIGHT WHERE YOU ARE.

An Adventure A Week.
That is my goal.
And i’m going to take you guys with me.
And one question for you…
Who’s with me?
