Sanity is an illusion.
We are all mad.
Really we are.
Some of us just admit it.

Last night I led (barely, as I was on the verge of tears singing it) Charlie Hall’s song, Mystery at Buckhead Church.
As someone who has struggled with depression and anxiety it hit close to home.
Knowing that there is nothing in this world that can bring me clarity and sanity besides the simple act of following closely behind my Master Jesus Christ.
That is it.
And when we follow closely enough to be covered by the dust off the path our Master is walking, we achieve true sanity.

Sweet Jesus Christ my sanity
Sweet Jesus Christ my clarity
Bread of heaven, broken for me
Cup of salvation held up to drink
Jesus, Mystery

Christ has died and
Christ is risen,
and Christ will come again

Celebrate his death and rising
Lift your eyes, proclaim his come
Celebrate his death and rising
Lift you eyes, lift your eyes

May you be covered by the dust of your master.
