Chandler and Furtick from Harvest Bible Chapel on Vimeo.

Many of us have seen this exchange between Chandler and Furtick.
I actually don’t like this clip because it doesn’t show the full exchange which is exactly Furticks point about hearing his whole sermon.
It leaves me not interested in either one’s opinion since, obviously, their opinions were only half stated.
None the less it brings out a good question for us.
What sort of church do you attend?
One that is focused on discipleship or attendance.
And let me say something right quick.
I lead worship at Furtick’s church on occasion.
The depth of his messages are ones I could drown in.
Let me also say that Matt Chandler is my favorite preacher in the world.
Favorite. Bar none.
I have not missed one sermon he has preached in 4 years.
The poor guy has been shaping me spiritually for years without even knowing it.
So it’s his fault I’m the way I am. 🙂

I have a simple question.
What sort of church are you in?
And don’t say both. Because you lean one way
One built to attract attenders or one built to grow attenders?
Which way does your church lean?
